Doug Crouse

Owner | Chairman

Doug Crouse began his banking career as a teller in 1964. He has a BS in Economics from Colorado College and a Graduate Degree in Banking from the University of Colorado. Doug has been the principal owner of Security State Bank since 1981 and he plays an integral role in overseeing the bank’s daily management and operations. Under his leadership, the bank expanded to three other Wyoming communities starting in 1999. Doug has six grown children and two grandchildren.

Brent Miller

President | Chief Executive Officer

Brent has been with Security State bank since 2006. He began his career with Security State Bank as the Worland branch President. His banking experience spans a wide range of roles, including Loan Officer, Branch President, Chief Lending Officer, Board Member, and now the bank’s CEO. Brent grew up on a Wyoming ranch and received his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wyoming. Brent is married with two grown children. His career focus is being a premium provider of financial services in our service areas as a community bank. Additionally, providing a rewarding place of employment for our employees.

Steve Cady

Chief Credit Officer | Chief Lending Officer

Steve is a Worland native and has strong family ties to Washakie County. Steve has over 20 years of banking experience and has developed extensive experience in all areas of credit risk and portfolio management. He manages the bank’s lending department and is responsible for managing the credit risk of the bank’s loan portfolio. Steve also serves as the bank’s Chief Lending Officer, leading the sales activities of the bank. Steve earned both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and MBA from the University of Wyoming. Steve has served on several boards throughout his banking career to include two terms on the Wyoming Certified Real Estate Appraiser Board, Washakie County Chamber of Commerce, and the Worland Senior Center.

Carie Warner

Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer of Security State Bank, Carie brings a wealth of financial experience to the bank’s leadership team. With a career spanning over 29 years in banking and financial management, she plays a key role in overseeing the bank’s financial operations, strategy, and growth. Carie is responsible for ensuring the financial health and stability of the bank, proving strategic direction for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting as well as leading the development of key financial policies and initiatives. Carie attended Northwest College and has completed the Bank Operations Institute-Texas, the Graduate School of Banking-Colorado, Community Bank Investment School and most recently the Graduate School of Banking – Wisconsin- Financial Managers School. These accomplishments further demonstrate her commitment to excellence in financial leadership.

Outside of work, Carie and her husband Mike enjoy the mountains and all the outdoor activities that Wyoming has to offer.  Carie and Mike have three children and two beautiful grandchildren.

Michael McColloch

Basin Market President

Michael, a Greybull native, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Wyoming in 2001. Following graduation, he spent five years in Boise, ID, before returning to Greybull in 2005. Michael began his professional journey in software development before transitioning to banking with Security State Bank in April, 2011. Over the years, he has held various positions, including Branch Operations Manager, Credit Analyst, Loan Auditor, and Commercial Lender. He furthered his education by graduating from the Graduate School of Banking at Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. In January 2016, Michael was appointed Basin Market President. He currently serves on the bank’s Audit Committee, Bank Loan Committee, and Board of Directors.

Dylan D. Crouse

Sheridan Market President

Dylan was born and raised in Basin, Wyoming.  He graduated with honors from Colgate University in 2015 with a double major in History and Spanish.  Dylan then attended University of Wyoming College of Law, graduating with honors in 2018.  After passing the bar exam, Dylan was admitted to practice in Wyoming and Montana.  He practiced law for four years at a regional firm, concentrating on creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, and commercial transactions.  In late 2022, Dylan moved to Sheridan to join Security State Bank, first as General Counsel, and now as Sheridan Market President.  Dylan quickly fell in love with the community, and he is active with the Downtown Sheridan Association and the Center for Vital Community.  When he has free time, he enjoys spending it in front of a piano, behind a camera, or on top of a pair of skis.

Matt Schneider

Worland Market President

Matt is a proud “Cowboy” graduating from the University of Wyoming in May of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He started his banking career in 2000 and became part of the Security State Bank family in 2008. Matt has been the Worland Market President since 2018. Matt brings a wealth of experience to all areas of banking, specifically consumer, commercial, agriculture and real estate lending. In addition to his banking career, Matt serves on several boards. This includes the Washakie Development Association and the Worland Recreation District. Born and raised in Worland, Matt is committed to giving back to the community. You will find Matt and his wife Barney involved in many community events volunteering their time and making a positive impact for future generations. Go Pokes!

Kellie Arndt

Chief Human Resources Officer

Kellie was born and raised in Shawnee, Kansas, moved to Wyoming in 1999 and later joined Security State Bank in 2010. She quickly advanced to Human Resources Director in 2011 and holds both PHR and SHRM-CP certifications. She is dedicated to helping employees thrive, ensuring they have a positive, fulfilling workplace at SSB. Outside of work, Kellie enjoys spending time with her family, attending UW sports events, visiting family in Kansas, and exploring Wyoming’s mountains through camping, boating, fishing, and hiking.
